There are plenty of obvious reasons to visit Anaheim, California, with some of the most compelling attractions that are offered in the world. People come from all corners of the earth to ride the rides, and see the stadium, and try to decide which is the best Anaheim hotel around. For the off-days, when there’s down time, the town offers some wonderful things to keep everyone in the group happy.

The downtown area has all the wonderful things any downtown area could have, with a laid-back sensibility that comes from being close to the ocean. Warm weather all year around makes this a great place for a farmer’s market, and there are also skating rinks, and a promenade that offers excellent events with exciting live music. Restaurants, shopping, and cafes are plentiful, and for those who love to relax with a lovely espresso, there’s also plenty to choose from.

For a real local treat, check out Kelly’s Coffee & Fudge , where they specialize in Arabica blends, to soothe the most furious caffeine craving. It’s also a fine place for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The latter two are taken care of with soups, salads, and sandwiches, and fresh pastries are on offer for the first meal of the day. The real attraction here, as most would guess, is the fudge. It’s homemade, and mouth-watering. It provides for an ambience that pervades everything here, making it just the perfect place for a break in the action.

There are also plenty of Starbuck’s, and a couple Seattle’s Best Coffee locations as well. SBC used to be independent, but got taken under the Starbuck’s wing in 2003. Both franchises came out of the big coffee boom in Seattle, and both are famously distinctive for boldness and smoothness. Either way one looks at it, it’s not a problem getting comfortable with a coffee drink in Anaheim, it’s just the leaving that’s difficult.
