Mallorca

We, my family and I, decided to leave Soller, Mallorca and travel to our current destination of Formentera. We checked out of one of the Mallorca hotels which left us with nothing but memories of a fantastic vacation. Our Balearic travels began with two days in Soller. We rented a car and went to the cities of Deia and Valdemossa. We loved the small cobbled streets, the local stores, and all the blooming flower boxes hanging from all the windows of the homes were some of the best things to see on our day trip. We did get a scare though, when we traveled down a steep windy road about four meters wide to a secluded swimming area for a mid-day dip. A few days later we arrived in San Telmo where we spent a day snorkeling, tubing and roaming the small town.

A day after that, we arrived in Palma, Mallorca. We took a short walk to drop off some of our laundry and to visit the cities farmers market. We made our way around to the shopping district and visited stores, like El Corte de Ingles or tous. We finished our shopping excursion ans found ourselves in an alleyway like streets filled with boutique stores. On our way back, we found the Palma Cathedral. So, the next day we toured the Cathedral and found it to be stunning. The ticket to the cathedral included entrance to a museum of relics. From Palma we travelled to a busy resort beach called Cala Portals. There was in island we all could swim to, so all four of us swam to the island and walked up through most of it until we got too many splinters. Then we took a dingy to the raft of the beach. We all took dives and flips until we were done and tired.
