Suffolk, England is well known for its tremendously beautiful natural scenic elements. The region is diverse and offers vast areas of beautiful coastland as well as fabulous country vistas, pastures, hills and marshes. The region is known for having influenced major works of art and being the setting of some great literature stories and novels. In addition, it has been the birthplace and regional origin for great musicians, composers, painters and writers. It is in doubtable that tourists staying in one of the great Victorian bed and breakfasts, or luxury Suffolk hotels will bare witness to the beauty that has inspired some many artists. Musician and producer Brian Eno and film actor Ralph Fiennes are just two examples of contemporary talent that has sprung from the area.
Brian Eno was born on May 15, 1948 in Woodbridge, Suffolk. He has been a forerunner in developing an ambient alternative approach to musical sound, and functions in many capacities. He is a singer, song writer, composer, producer and even an artist. Early in his life Eno studied art and has applied some of the minimalist painting theories to his music. He has collaborated with a great number of top musicians including David Byrne of the Talking Heads. Together they have worked on the sound design for various digital programs including a video game.
Ralph Fiennes was officially born as Ralph Nathaniel Twisleton-Wykeham-Fiennes on December 22, 1962. He received his training from the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and worked for sometime with the Royal Shakespeare Company. He is an incredibly respected actor who has won many awards an honors. Some of the more well known films he has worked in include Schindler’s List, The English Patient and The Constant Gardner, as well as the widely popular Harry Potter Series. He has received two nominations for Academy Awards and in 1995 won a Tony Award for Best Actor for his work in Hamlet.
